Originally, the SSZ was designed only for Olympic disciplines. But in order to offer hunters as well as large caliber shooters a homestead, it also has a closed range on which large caliber pistol – and rifle can be shot.
The shooting ranges offers three stations with 100m and three stations with 25m and a small workshop primarily for gunsmiths.
All ranges can be booked for clubs and Rifle Associations. The current bookings as well as free capacities can be found here. For questions and arrangements, the contact person of the SSZ GmbH in charge will be pleased to assist you.

The 25m-Ranges
The 25m ranges are located in the front area of the shooting gallery. They are authorized up to a max. caliber of .50AE. As targets the conventional paper targets are used.
Especially for beginners to fire on conventional paper targets is recommendable. They offer the possibility to practice the shooting with the handgun for the apprenticeship of the hunting license, without getting on right away with the electronic target. However, also special targets of other associations can be used – for example the BDS or the BDMP.

The 100m-Ranges
Besides the general training, the 100m ranges ae also suitable for the hunting apprenticeship, for the warm-up shooting of rifles for different distances and for providing the required shooting proof for holders of the hunting license.
Tables are available for resting positions, clamping blocks for gunsmiths and rods for leaning rifles sideways.
By means of the traction system the target can be positioned in different distances and via illumination different light situations can be simulated.
The 100m-range is approved for ammunition of up to 14000 Joules.

The Workshop
For the precise zeroing of rifles the shooting range offers a small workshop, in which firearms can be reworked.
