The SSZ offers several possibilities for shooting of 50m distances.
On the one hand 50m shooting can be done in the Large Caliber Gallery, on the other hand on two ranges designed especially for the 50m disciplines.
For the finals the finals range is available.
Via this link, you can view the occupancy and free capacities of the facilities and can be booked directly by individuals or clubs as well as domestic and foreign shooters or shooting clubs for training camps – under consideration of competitions, the regular trainings events and courses of the TSB resp. DSB. For questions and arrangements, the contact person of the SSZ GmbH in charge will be pleased to assist you.
The outdoor range includes 95 stations of which 80 stations are equipped with the electronic SIUS systems. Control Monitors at each shooting range provide the athlete with a direct display of the results. In the evaluation range, which is located between the audience area and firing line, several display monitors are located which present the results of 10 stations each. Apart from the display of the results of competition, this allows to parallel observe and look after several athletes during the training.
The electronic ranges are used by the DSB and TSB for training and for big national and international competitions. Here as examples the ISSF, Junior World Cup, DSB-raking links and the Thuringian National Championships are to be mentioned. Also clubs are able to use the electronic ranges.
The non-electronic ranges are often used for the guests program and offer the possibility of a trial training. Clubs are also training on these ranges.
The indoor range is located in the Erich-Krempel-Hall.
18 stations with electronic SIUS systems are available for training in the winter months.
Due to the combination with the 10m ranges, the use is limited to the winter months and in order to use the same, an inquiry for the use is required in advance.
The Finals Range
For performing the finals, the finals range is available. The finals range is equipped with fully electronic SIUS systems and therefore corresponds to the current requirements of the ISSF.
It is designed in such a manner, that finals can be shot in the 50m disciplines or the 10m disciplines.
Monitors are located at each shooting range so that the athlete can view his current results. In the audience area large monitors ensure that the audience can pursue the results live and join in the excitement.
